SOPU goes Torisitsit!

Tampere's second Torisitsit will be held on 8.8.2026! Welcome to experience an unforgettable summer evening at Tampere's Torisitsit - where the Central Square fills with sitsing participants and passersby get to see the best of student culture.

Torisitsit showcases vibrant student culture on Tampere's Central Square. Students from all campuses of Tampere University and the university of applied sciences gather to sit together - everyone from first-year students to third-year students and alumni are welcome. Last year tickets sold out fast, so make sure to secure your spot to celebrate the higher education student community!

SOPU's ticket quota for Torisitsit goes on sale on Wednesday 3.6. at 12.00, so be ready to grab tickets to the summer's biggest sitsing for 8.00 €. Once you've purchased your ticket, you'll receive a link via email that you can use to redeem one sitsing ticket. The quota has its own reserved seating section, so everyone who bought from SOPU's quota will be able to sit close together.

NOTE! The event has no general food or beverage service, so bring your own provisions!

The Central Square is located on a stone-paved area, so there may be uneven surfaces due to cobblestones. The event attracts many visitors and the noise level can be high at times.

You can participate in the event using a wheelchair. We ask that you inform us of any wheelchair use when purchasing tickets. If you need special accessibility arrangements, please let us know in advance on the ticket purchase form. This way we can ensure smooth participation and arrange, if needed, for example accessible restroom facilities during the event.
