The Riippumaton Jussi indie festival returns next Midsummer to Kakskerta - intimate atmosphere and strong artist lineup!
Next Midsummer, the maritime landscapes of Turku Kakskerta will fill again with indie music and a sense of community celebration when the Riippumaton Jussi indie festival takes place for the third time on 18.-19.6.2026. This year the festival returns to its roots, to the most intimate and relaxed Midsummer celebration on the Juho Kusti beach stage.
Two-day celebration featuring Finnish indie acts
Riippumaton Jussi takes place this year over two days on Thursday and Friday. The festival stage is the familiar Juho Kusti beach stage, where both new and already established names from the indie scene perform.
On Thursday 18.6., Midsummer's Eve, the performers are Saga Mast, Aino & Hajonneet and Nössö Nova.
On Friday 19.6., Midsummer Day, the guests are entertained by Pambikallio, Michael Bleu, Vilma jää and Atomirotta.
NOTE! Pambikallio performs on Friday instead of Punomo!
The event gates close on Thursday and Friday at 00.00.
The evening continues at the official after-party at the nightclub Dynamo in Turku city centre. For those staying at Kakskerta, a special Viinikellarin Kapakka opens only during Midsummer, serving as a relaxed after-party meeting place for festival guests.
