Joshua Ray Walker (US)

Joshua Ray Walker is a country/americana singer-songwriter from Dallas known for his vivid storytelling, beautiful tenor and falsetto. Since his 2019 debut, he has built a catalog marked by sharp songwriting, dark humor and deep empathy for complicated people. Walker has appeared many times on national television (including Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon), played multiple times at Grand Ole Opry and performed over 2,000 concerts across the USA and Europe.

Walker's sixth studio album, Ain't Dead Yet (released 29.5.), is his most personal work. Walker battled cancer, and the album was recorded before, during and after cancer treatments - including sessions the day before a lung surgery that could have permanently altered his voice. The album, which explores mortality, gratitude, memory and change, is built on pedal steel, violin and Walker's distinctive guitar playing.

The through-line in Walker's music has remained constant throughout his career: his songs tell the truth, however uncomfortable. On Ain't Dead Yet, he takes this quality to its furthest extent, documenting a deeply personal period of transformation and a second chance earned through hardship.
