Ensemble Nylandia performs at Kuopio Cathedral on Sunday, 19 July 2026 at 15:00 as part of the concert EUBO & Alfredo Bernardini - Currents of Affects / Tunteiden virrassa. Kuopio Cathedral is a classical building completed in 1815, one of Finland's largest stone churches and the cathedral of Kuopio Diocese. The concert takes listeners on a journey through European Baroque music in the acoustically significant setting of the cathedral.

About: Alfredo Bernardini

Born in Rome, Bernardini built his career at the heart of the European early music scene - as co-founder of Ensemble Zefiro, guest conductor of Concerto Copenhagen, and a professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. His discography of over 100 recordings spans Vivaldi and Handel to Bach and Fux, earning prizes from the Cannes Classical Award to the Diapason d'or.

Bernardini is scheduled to conduct Bach's Mass in B minor at the Chigiana International Festival in Siena, in co-production with the Mozarteum University of Salzburg.

Bernardini performed and taught at the Chigiana-Mozarteum Baroque Program in Siena, directing the Chigiana-Mozarteum Baroque Orchestra in Vivaldi's La Senna festeggiante.
