Kauko Röyhkä Solo

Kauko Röyhkä is a writer and rock musician who since 1980 has provoked, shocked and captivated Finnish audiences with his songs and novels. His debut album Steppaillen (1980) is a Finnish rock classic, and his novel Kaksi aurinkoa was shortlisted for the Finlandia Prize in 1996.

Röyhkä has also written film scripts, television drama, columns and record reviews. In 1995 he received the Suomi Prize, and in 2009 the state arts award.
