Wilderness Days

Keuruu Pihlajaveden Wilderness Days are held for the seventh time on 22-23 August 2026 in Pihlaisten wilderness. The event is organized by the Pihlajaveden and Karimo village associations.

Saturday features guided hikes, while Sunday allows for self-guided exploration. The routes have information boards presenting the history of Pihlaisten's natural and cultural sites. Exhibitions open throughout the weekend provide additional information about the area's history.

Picnic supplies can be purchased along the routes or at the Kauppala kiosk-cafe. The routes are also accessible by bicycle, and water activities include canoeing and kayaking - canoe rentals are managed by Eräopas Jokela.
