Vaiston varassa, ajan kanssa – Joakim Sederholm
Tapperien Juholan navettagalleria, Tarvaala
In summer 2026, Finnish sculptor Joakim Sederholm (born 1969) from Porvoo is the guest artist at Tapperien Juhola's barn gallery in Jarskassa. In his works, he explores human existence and experiences of difference and belonging - aiming to increase tolerance and compassion. He works with wood, ceramics, metal, bronze, and combinations of these materials.
Sederholm was a student and assistant to academician Kain Tapperi (1930-2004) in several public works and exhibitions. His expertise is still needed when one of the master's sculptures requires restoration. In Jarskassa, Sederholm was already seen in 1999 at the barn gallery's opening exhibition "Liitoksia ja sortumia" alongside four other Tapperi students, and he was also the guest artist in summer 2005. The Tapperien Art Society awarded him their medal during the 30-year anniversary in 2023.
Admission: adults (15+) 10 €, pensioners 5 €, children (4-14) 5 €, under 4 free.
