The World's Richest Woman

Description was written before the event
Marianne Farrere is the world's richest woman, a wealthy heiress to a cosmetics empire. Money doesn't bring love - but it attracts Pierre-Alain (Laurent Lafitte), an arrogant careerist and would-be photographer, whose acquaintance blossoms into a platonic romance. Marianne pays millions for the photographer's company, because pleasure is worth the price.
Her daughter (Marina Foïs) attempts, with the help of lawyers and a butler, to drive the suitor away from the heiress's bank account - without success. The story is inspired by the Liliane Bettencourt scandal.
Laurent Lafitte was awarded the César Prize for Best Actor for his role. The lead part seems tailor-made for Isabelle Huppert.
