The World's Richest Woman

Marianne Farrere is the world's richest woman - heiress to a cosmetics empire for whom money has lost all meaning. When Pierre-Alain (Laurent Lafitte), an almost-photographer and fortune seeker, enters her life, their acquaintance becomes a platonic romance. Marianne begins giving the photographer millions, because having fun is worth it.

Her daughter (Marina Fois) attempts, with the help of lawyers and a butler, to evict the suitor from the heiress's bank account - without success. The story is based on the Liliane Bettencourt scandal. Laurent Lafitte was awarded the César Prize for Best Actor for his role, and the lead is played by Isabelle Huppert.
