Park Walk - Hotel Pier 4 Rooftop Garden and Tove Jansson Park

The park walk begins at Hotel Pier 4's rooftop garden, accessed by lift from the hotel lobby to the fourth floor and then up the stairs. The rooftop features a natural garden and views over the South Harbour and Katajanokka.

The route continues through the park area of the former Katajanokka prison, through Merikasarmi Park and Navy Park. The walk ends at Tove Jansson Park, which was renovated in summer 2026 and now features a Moomin statue. Along the way, participants discuss moomins, the significance of gardens, and Tove Jansson's work.

The starting point is Hotel Pier 4's lobby, Katajanokalaituri 4. The route is approximately 2 km long and the pace suits families with children and people with mobility restrictions who can walk at a leisurely speed.
