The Blaster Master

The Blaster Master from Oulu is one of Finland's longest-running ska bands - the group was founded in 1996 and was instrumental in the breakthrough of Finnish ska music. Over the years, the band has toured in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and England. Albums have been released in Germany and the USA, and songs have appeared on numerous international ska compilations.

In 2009, the band performed at the Folkestone Skarbour festival in England, and in that year and the following year served as the backing band for British ska legend Pauline Black (The Selecter), including at the This Is Ska festival in Germany. Following earlier albums - Skanga!, Skandinista, Tuffer Than Roots, Rude Boy Life, and the compilation Two Tone Bastards - Stupido Records releases a new album Bring Me The Sun in March 2026.

2026 is the band's anniversary year: the 30th birthday is celebrated with concerts where the brass instruments are back in the lineup. The setlist features songs from the new album and a selection spanning the entire career.
