Literature Evening: Destroyed Childhood - The Auer Family Miscarriage of Justice
ilmainen
The new work Destroyed Childhood - The Auer Family Miscarriage of Justice (Otava, 2026) continues the book published last year, Miscarriage of Justice - How the System Destroyed the Auer Family (Otava, 2025). The new book deepens the case and provides background to the trial that began in autumn 2025, in which Auer was ultimately found innocent of the alleged crimes. The work examines errors made by the justice system and child protection services, and explores the role of the media and police in the case.
At Malmi Library, the book's authors, journalists Matti Rämö and Rami Mäkinen, will be present. Rami Mäkinen is a non-fiction writer specializing in crime and one of Finland's most renowned crime journalists.
