Domestic Affairs at Kalajärvi

Kuoreveden Kesäteater presents 6.6.-4.7.2026 a farce written by Matti Wanteen and directed by Reko Himanen: "Domestic Affairs at Kalajärvi - or immoral coincidences in a Finnish family".

An energetic woman has chosen a cottage as a holiday destination based on a leisure-home exhibition - despite her husband's objections. On site, the dream of a log cabin and a smoke sauna collides with harsh reality, especially when the cottage begins to fill with unwanted holiday guests. In the circle of events appear a work colleague with his wife, the company's stern training manager, a greedy hostess, mysterious church sisters, peculiar bar girls, and Paris tour guides. The farce concludes with a small surprise - and reflections on what French cheerfulness might be.
