Academic year kick-off party // Yliopiston lukuvuoden Avajaisbileet

The university's 2026-2027 academic year kick-off party takes place at Fame Club on 2 September. The event is open to both students and staff members. 🪩

The headline act for the evening is Mouhous. The trio from Jyväskylä - Monako, Valentin and Van Hegen - has accumulated over 100 million streams during their 10-year career. Their debut album I Hate Mouhous (2020) spent 72 weeks on Finland's official album chart and earned the band four Emma nominations. The second album Masennust & massii (2022) crossed the platinum threshold and received three Emma nominations. The album LADABOIS, released in October 2025, has also achieved platinum status, and one of its hits, Räppii, seksii & huumeita, remained in Spotify's top ten most-streamed tracks for several months. 🕺
