6.7. On Finland's Summer Day (Suomen suven päivän) at 6 p.m., Suinula village hall (Kuorevedentie 796, Kuorevesi) hosts a vihta evening where traditional vihtas (birch whisks for sauna use) are made under guidance in a community spirit.

7.7. At 6 p.m. in Nysä (Kuorevedentie 921, Kuorevesi), vihta bingo takes place. Prizes are the vihtas made at the vihta evening. The game booklet contains 8 sheets (15 €), individual sheets cost 5 €, and the ball limit is 500 €. Coffee is served from 5 p.m.
