Delado International

Delado International brings together West African, South American, and Finnish traditional cultures in a concert where contemporary and traditional dance meet in ethno-fusion music. Finnish folk songs are accompanied by African rhythms and Latin swing.

The ensemble is led by dancer and songwriter Sanna Karlsson-Sutisna. Master musicians Amadou Benjamin Ouattara and Dieudonne Sangare bring 900 years of griot tradition from Burkina Faso, musician Rodrigo Rodriguez from Chile, and saxophonist Tapani Variksenmäki and flute add further colour. Delado International's tours in Finland have been running since 2022, with organizers including the cultural services of Helsinki, Salo and Espoo, Kaustinen Folk Music Festival, Heinävesi Ancient Week, and Kolibri Festival.

The event lasts 1.5 hours. Doors open one hour before the performance. Discount cards are checked at the entrance.

Tickets 20 € (including service charge). Free ticket for a personal assistant to a person with a disability - we ask that a disability card be presented when purchasing tickets. It is also possible to participate with a Kaikukort; places are sold in order and the Kaikukort quota is limited. Organizer: Raahe city cultural services.
