Rovaniemi Forestry Boys Association 60th Anniversary Celebration

Rovaniemi Forestry Boys Association (Rovaniemen Metsäpojat ry) celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2027, but the jubilee year kicks off on 5 September 2026 with an annual celebration at Poropirtti (Ounasjoen itäpuolentie 1049, 96900 Rovaniemi).

Bus transport departs from Lapland University of Applied Sciences at 17.00. The bus passes through Pohjanhovin and continues to Poropirtti at 17.15. Doors open at 17.40 and the celebration begins at 18.00. The evening features a three-course dinner, speeches, and Lapland entertainment. Dress code is dark suit or national costume with academic decorations.

The evening continues with bus transport back to the city for official after-parties at Uitto pub.

A herring breakfast is held on Sunday 6 September 2026 starting at 11.00 in the sauna facilities of Lapland University of Applied Sciences' student association. More information and tips are shared on the organization's Instagram and Facebook pages.
