Flame Jazz: Mikko Antila Sinetti

Flame Jazz opens the autumn season with Mikko Antila Sinetti's album release concert at Bar Ö. Ticket sales at the door begin at 18:00, and the concert includes an intermission. Discount tickets require card verification at the door.

Antila leads his quintet with Joonatan Henriksson (clarinet), Otto Porkkala (acoustic guitar), Antti Lötjönen (double bass) and Teppo Mäkynen (drums). The band performs material from the Sinetti album released by Flame Jazz Records over the summer - compositions where vibraphone, clarinet and acoustic guitar interweave with the rhythmic foundation of double bass and drums. The music echoes Finnish folk music, Americana and the African American musical tradition.
