Antti Lötjönen (b. 1980, Kuopio) is a Finnish double bassist who has spent over two decades at the front line of the country's jazz scene. He has appeared on more than 100 recordings - with groups such as The Five Corners Quintet, Ilmiliekki Quartet, Aki Rissanen Trio and Verneri Pohjola Quartet - and performed in over 30 countries. In 2024 he received the Finnish Jazz Federation's Yrjö Award, the most prestigious annual prize in Finnish jazz.
Lötjönen and guitarist Kalle Kalima released their debut duo album 'Stings, Bites and Scratches' on Eclipse Music and followed it with a 13-concert tour across Finland in February 2025.
Lötjönen received the Finnish Jazz Federation's Yrjö Award at Tampere Jazz Happening on 1 November 2024, recognising over 20 years at the forefront of Finnish jazz.
In autumn 2024, Lötjönen and Kalle Kalima recorded 'Stings, Bites and Scratches', their first album together as a duo.
Antti Lötjönen Quintet East released their second album 'Circus/Citadel' on We Jazz Records and toured Finland in January-February 2023.
Lötjönen was named Artist of the Year at Pori Jazz in 2015, and in 2018 was voted Jazz Musician of the Year by the Finnish Jazz Musicians' Association.
