Parish Elections - What's It About? 🤔 Information session for prospective candidates

What do parish trustees actually decide on? What's the difference between the parish council and the joint church board? Why two ballot papers? Can I run as a candidate even if I don't know anything yet? (Answer: yes, you can! 🙌🤩)

The information session is held on Wednesday 9.9. at 17.00 in the large hall of Joensuu Parish Centre, at Kirkkokatu 28, 80100 Joensuu. Entrance from the car park on the Ylä-satamankatu side. 🚗 The session is aimed especially at students, young people and young adults interested in having a say in their own parish. You don't need to bring anything - just come along. 🫶🏻

The information is being organised by campus chaplain Oona Leiviskä, youth work coordinator Alma Laukkanen from Pielisensuun Parish, and Joensuu local worker Maija Voutilainen from SKY.
