Re-Charge
ilmainen
Re-Charge is a bodily catalogue for alternative energy production - a work that charges from and for love. It is part of the larger Charge project, realized as works and workshops in public spaces and local communities. At the heart of the project lie the joy of dance, bodily community, and international collaboration.
The work explores physical ways of charging and is embodied as human batteries. It draws inspiration from superheroes, a celebration of beats and music - techno, electrodance, amapiano, nollypiano, disco, pop, dubstep, trance and beyond - from the exhaustion of body and mind, the euphoria of dance, Formula 1 and acceleration, video games, and trance-like repetition. The project examines Western society's dependence on unsustainable energy production and seeks playful alternatives to being one's own bionic light and fleshy battery.
Re-Charge is a continuation of the work Charge (2024-2025). It is presented by the international dance group Muddiverse. The work runs for 45 minutes.
