Re-Charge

Re-Charge is a bodily artwork exploring alternative energy production - it physically investigates different ways of charging and embodies itself as human batteries. Inspiration is drawn from superheroes, a celebration of beat and music (techno / electrodance / amapiano / nollypiano / disco / pop / dubstep / trance / you name it), exhaustion of body and mind, the euphoria of dance, Formula 1, video games, and trance-like repetition. The work is a continuation of Charge (2024-2025) and is realized by the international dance group Muddiverse.

Re-Charge is part of a larger Charge project that unfolds as artworks and workshops in public spaces and local communities. The project investigates Western society's dependence on unsustainable energy production and seeks playful alternatives - ways of being your own bionic light and fleshy battery.
