Short Course for Tyre Fitters - Get Employed as a Tyre Fitter

Helsinki Employment Services and Stadin AO jointly organize an intensive short course for tyre fitters for those interested in the automotive industry. The course aims to provide information about automotive education and its requirements, secure employment as a tyre fitter through Eezy for the autumn season in the capital region, and strengthen skills for job hunting in the field.

The course is suitable for you if you are an unemployed job seeker registered with Helsinki Employment Services, you have a valid B-category driving licence, and Finnish language skills at least at level B1.1. The work is physically demanding - performed standing and involving lifting - so appropriate physical fitness and overall health are prerequisites.

The course covers the technical properties of tyres and rims, work ergonomics and safety, tools for tyre work, safe use of various vehicle lifts, correct vehicle lifting, and tyre removal, installation, and use of tyre machines (rim work and balancing).

The recruitment event is held on 15.9.2026 from 12:00 to 15:00, Malminkatu 34, 2nd floor, Helsinki (Kamppi). The employer interviews candidates at the event and selects course participants. The actual course runs 21.-25.9.2026 from 9:00 to 14:00, Stadin AO, Ilkantie 3, Helsinki.
