Volunteer Training for Palliative Care at Senior Centre/Service Housing

A two-part volunteer training programme in palliative care welcomes adults in stable life circumstances who wish to support elderly people in their final life stages. The training is held at Roihuvuoren Senior Centre, Punahilkantie 16, 00820 Helsinki: part 1. Tue 22.9.2026 and part 2. Tue 29.9.2026 from 17:00 to 19:45. The training is free of charge.

The training covers topics including ageing and encounters, end-of-life care and death, volunteer work in palliative care, as well as compassion and personal wellbeing. The instructors are staff members from the units who have experience in volunteer work and palliative care. After the training, you can choose your work placement from several options based on your situation and needs.
