Tero Saarinen Company: Wild Is the Wind

The "Wild Is the Wind" trilogy at Tanssin talo presents works from three generations of choreographers. The evening brings together reflections on human nature with powerful, personally-driven performance - despite aesthetic differences.

Tero Saarinen returns to the stage in the solo work "Room 7", created for him by Carolyn Carlson. Here he immerses himself in archetypes of the mind through absurdity and Carlson's characteristic poetic expression. In Saarinen's new duet "Garden", two people build their existence in a world where connection to nature has become blurred - the garden as a metaphorical space for humanity's relationship to environment, form and time.

The evening opens with Sonya Lindforss commissioned work "Wild Is the Wind" for the main stage. Alongside TSC dancers, Akim Bakhtaoui, Marlon Moilanen, Axelle Munezero and Maele Cheza Sabuni perform, with live trumpeter Devina Boughton.
