Flamenco artist and dancer Katja Lundén presents her work from a career spanning over 25 years. She is the artistic director and dancer-choreographer of Katja Lundén Company, founded in 2000, and is known for her works that cross artistic boundaries - including Flamencosauna, Universo, Traces of Memory, Edvard Munch - The Dance of Life, Shadowplay, Chromosome 47 flamenco for dancers with developmental disabilities, AfterMachine, and La Vida de una Elefante, created in collaboration with local musicians at Villa Karo residency in Benin, Africa.
Beyond her performances, Lundén has served as director of Blue Flamenco school since 2008, which focuses on flamenco instruction for people with developmental disabilities, and has taught dance for over 20 years in Finland and abroad. She holds a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Helsinki's Department of Art Research, with aesthetics as her major, and wrote her thesis on dance art.
In 2022, the City of Helsinki awarded her the Artist of the Year prize, and in 2025, the Pro Dance Foundation granted her a Pro Dance scholarship.
