Keuruun jazzklubi: Jazz Jkl Collective feat. Nina Mya

In September, Keuruun jazzklubi hosts Jazz Jkl Collective with guest vocalist Nina Mya. The evening's programme draws from the music of female singers who have strongly influenced Mya: the concert features classics made famous by Carmen McRae, Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday and Laila Kinnunen, accompanied by stories about these singers' lives and loves.

Nina Mya (born 1989) has established herself in Finland's music scene as both a bandleader and guest soloist. Her expression is rooted in jazz but draws inspiration from soul and gospel. Mya was named Pori Jazz Artist of the Year in 2012 and has released four solo albums as well as one album in collaboration with UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra.
