Author Suvi Auvinen in Conversation

Writer and journalist Suvi Auvinen visits Itäkeskus Library to present her new work. "The World's Last Animal" (Gummerus 2026) is her fifth book, exploring tardigrades, hope, and the power of the small.

The conversation will reflect on empathy and love for other forms of life and our shared planet - and what we can learn from these resilient, microscopic creatures. Auvinen will be interviewed by librarian Liisa Uimonen.

This event is part of the library's "From Love" event series in autumn 2026, which includes group singing, author visits, a love poetry competition, and speed dating. The event is open to everyone.
