Three 30-Something Authors on Writing, Living and Finding Meaning in Late Capitalism

Three authors, three new novels. Elsa Kemppainen explores in her second novel "Back to Back" a family where living together is impossible - but living apart is also impossible. Hanna Ylöstalo's second novel "The End of the Sun Year" investigates grief, equality, love and above all sibling relationships. Victor von Hellen makes his debut as a novelist with "Kupol", which portrays a generation trapped between youth and adulthood.

The three meet on stage in a discussion about the motives for writing, the phenomena of our time as reflected in the novels' characters and themes, and what the balance between trust and doubt, escape and the search for meaning does to both the fictional characters and the authors themselves.
