Ghost Walk at Vaasa Barracks Area

A guided ghost walk takes you to the Vaasa barracks area, which has long been closed to the public. During the tour you will hear stories from the area's past - from times of war and peace: wandering soldiers' ghosts, mirrors where strange gentlemen have flickered past, a building that the media has called a "ghost magnet" - and an explanation for the piercing child ghosts.

The tour is aimed at young people and adults (approximately K-16, at parents' discretion) and is not recommended for small children. The pace is leisurely and the route is accessible. The duration is approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour and the distance is approximately 1 km. The tour takes place outdoors in all weather conditions, so dress warmly and bring an umbrella or rain jacket if needed.

Meeting point: The former main gate of the barracks area, Eastern Barracks Square 7-9, Vaasa. Arrive no later than 5 minutes before the tour begins.

The ghost walk guides are Tiina Hautala and Anneli Ketonen (in Finnish) and Kati Källman (in Swedish). Photography is permitted, but the performance must not be filmed or recorded in any other way.
