Juha Saunala, MäSä Duo, M.I. Laine

A joint tour by three Finnish folk artists brings together Juha Saunala, MäSä Duo, and M.I. Laine.

The evening opens with singer-songwriter M.I. Laine, whose songs blend strong storytelling and social commentary with playfulness and inventive melodic lines. MäSä Duo merges new and old tradition with a robust Ostrobothnian character: fiddler Kyösti Järvelä from Kaustinen meets the rhythmic harmonica of Lauri Kotamäki from Lapland. Juha Saunala, who released his debut album earlier this year, now performs for the first time as a trio - alongside bass and vocals, the lineup includes Eero "Eki" Tapio Häikiö (bass clarinet) and Untamo "Unski" Armas Matinpoika Säynäjäkangas (percussion).
