Book Release: Meritta Koivisto, The Hermit

Author, screenwriter, and filmmaker Meritta Koivisto presents her new crime novel The Hermit on Wednesday, August 26 at 5 p.m. in the accessible Kupola Hall (1st floor) of Kallio Library. Koivisto is interviewed by special correspondent Tiina Merikanto.

The Hermit is the fourth book in the series and Koivisto's eighth novel. In the book, Swedish criminal investigator Harriet Jaatinen investigates the death of sociologist Theodor Wright: the man's house in the forests near Stockholm has burned to the ground, and a 17-year-old girl was previously found dead in the same forest. When Harriet travels to Los Angeles for Interpol training, she learns of a missing young woman - and the connections between the cases begin to trouble her. The investigation leads her to one of the most complex criminal patterns of her career, intertwined with ethical questions in the pharmaceutical industry and youth well-being. The book is sold at the event at a special release price.
