Alejandro Jodorowsky's classic acid western EL TOPO (Mexico 1970) screens at Kino Kuvakukko as part of the SYRJÄSEUTU-VILIMIT film festival in Kuopio, September 24-27, 2026.

The film follows a man in black through a metaphysical desert. Jodorowsky's masterpiece blends violent western, psychedelic surrealism, and esoteric philosophy. It sparked the Midnight Movies phenomenon in New York and counted John Lennon and Dennis Hopper among its fans.
