Youth Budget Workshop for Young People in Koskela 16.-17.9.

A youth budget workshop aimed at young people aged 13-17 is held on 16.-17.9. from 12:00 to 17:00 at Koskela Youth Centre (Antti Korpin tie 3, 00600 Helsinki). The workshop is intended for young people in the Viikki area - the area includes Viikki, Latokartano, Viikinmäki, Pihlajamäki, Pihlajisto, Käpylä and Koskela.

In the youth budget, young people get to influence the budget of Helsinki's youth services. In the workshops, feasible activities for 2027 are planned based on data collection responses - the ideas of young people. In the autumn, proposals are voted on in schools, and a negotiating committee made up of young people decides which ideas receive a share of the youth services' 150,000 euros - anyone can participate in the negotiating committee.

You receive a certificate for active participation, and the workshop provides light refreshments. Secondary schools in the Viikki area (KPK, PYNK, HYK, NORS, Latokartano) are aware of the workshop, and one adult from each school participates. It is worth discussing registration with your own teacher and guardian. If you do not attend secondary school in the Viikki area but spend a lot of time in the area, contact us and we will arrange the details.
