Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling Trial Class

An open trial class in jiu-jitsu and submission wrestling for all university and college students. The event takes place on 11.9.2026 from 14.00 to 15.30 at 10th Planet Tampere's premises at Varastokatu 3, 33100 Tampere - near the university's main campus. A maximum of 50 participants can attend.

Jiu-jitsu is a combat sport where the goal is to control your opponent so that they submit. The sport requires not just strength and speed, but understanding of body mechanics, strategy, and problem-solving under pressure - the learning curve is practically endless.

During the trial class, you will practice one basic position and several common submissions and throws. You only need clean sports clothes.

A beginner course for students starts the week after the trial class, so this session is a good way to get familiar with the sport before committing to the full course.
