From Cracks to Light - Conversation on Mental Health, Neurodiversity and Self-Worth

This event explores mental health, neurodiversity and self-worth through the themes of Suvi-Marja Mwizerwa's debut work The Mirror of Wisdom. The event also carries personal significance: the day before the event, September 12, marks seven years since the author's older brother's death, and both the event and the work are dedicated to his memory.

The discussion addresses the aftermath of school bullying and exclusion, shadows of the mind and anxiety, as well as heightened sensitivity and neurodiversity. The event is open to school-age children, young people, parents, educators and anyone touched by these topics.

The event opens with a short Spoken Word performance in English. The main discussion takes place in Finnish, and audience questions and comments can also be posed in English. Books will be available for purchase, and a limited number of author-signed copies are available.
