Music in the Castle: Bach Universe

Ensemble Nylandia brings Bach's orchestral music to Hämeenlinna on Thursday, 22 October at 18:00 in Kuninkaansali at Hämeen linna. The concert is part of a four-date Finnish tour that also includes performances in Helsinki, Porvoo and other cities. Kuninkaansali is the castle's most prestigious concert hall, where the historical setting creates a unique atmosphere for classical music. The programme combines Bach's well-known works, including his second orchestral suite and the celebrated Badinerie, with the contemporary composition Re-Inventions by composer Elena Kats-Chernin, which draws on Bach's inventions. The concert runs for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Tickets start from 25 euros.
