HAMKO Alkupamaus 2026

Alkupamaus 2026 opens the new academic year with a 1990s theme on Thursday, 17.9.2026. The event consists of a checkpoint circuit during the day and an after-party in the evening.

Checkpoint Circuit
The checkpoint circuit starts from HAMKO's green tent on Hämeenlinna square from 15:00 to 18:00, when the team activates an electronic checkpoint pass in the Appro App application. The entire team needs an event wristband, but one checkpoint pass is sufficient. Checkpoints are open from 15:30 to 21:30, and the pass must be returned to the tent by 22:00 at the latest. Teams that reach the finish line receive badges on their wristband by showing it and simultaneously participate in the checkpoint competition.

The entire team (2-8 people) must download the Appro App in advance - it is enough if one person from the team downloads it. ⚠️ Some checkpoints are located in restaurants and bars, so a valid ID is mandatory. Consuming your own drinks in restaurants or in front of them is not permitted. ⚠️

After-Party
The after-party begins at 22:00 at two locations: Bar Skogsters (Raatihuoneenkatu 8) and Las Palmas (Raatihuoneenkatu 10). At both venues, the artist is TBA, with the show starting at 23:30. In addition to the artist, a DJ provides the music.

Everyone is welcome at the event, and HAMKO members receive a member discount.

Tickets are sold both with and without the after-party. If tickets with the after-party remain from the pre-sale, only after-party tickets will be available for purchase on Kide.app on the event day at 18:30.

Ticket Redemption
The Kide.app ticket is exchanged for an event wristband either in advance from HAMKO's office (room C-138, Hämeenlinna University Centre) starting from Monday 14.8. - the office is open Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00 and pre-sales end on Thursday 17.8. at 12:00 - or on the event day on Hämeenlinna square from 15:00 to 18:00.
