ESN Oulu Goes: Hailuoto

ESN Oulu is heading to Hailuoto - the largest island in the Bothnian Bay - for a day trip.

The island has plenty to see: a lighthouse dating from the 1800s, a museum covering local life from the 1800s to the 1960s, the sensory art installation Organum, a church designed after traditional nature huts, and a local brewery. There will also be an ESN BBQ, tentatively around 3pm.

The bus departs at 10am from the University (roughly a one-hour drive) and leaves Hailuoto at 5pm. Check the weather beforehand and bring snacks. If you bought a ticket with an ESNcard, have it ready to present at Oulu bus station before departure.

Tickets: 15 € with ESNcard / 18 € without ESNcard.
