Hard Rock Motors: Ian Highhill, Crimson Day, DOL

Hard Rock Motors is a collective of blues-based hard rock bands that also includes more metallic and progressive formations. Skenesali hosts the Motors' gathering - the evening promises a broad spectrum of heavy rock from three different bands.

Ian Highhill is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer whose career began in the early 1980s inspired by the NWOBHM movement. Known as the frontman of Olympos Mons and Astraliön, Highhill now tours with his solo band. His latest album "A Hymn Among Gravestones" was released in early 2026.

Crimson Day is a metal band from Tampere formed in 2013. The band has toured in Finland, the Baltic countries, Germany, and Sweden, and shared festival stages with Sonata Arctica, Turmion Kätilöt, Turisas, Reckless Love, and Korpiklaani. This year they placed second in the KaaosZine national band competition among over 200 participants. Their latest album "Dark Dimension" came out in spring 2026. https://www.crimsonday.com/

DOL is a quintet founded in 2018 in Helsinki that combines dark rock, gothic aesthetics, and heavier metal. The band took the stage at Tuska Festival in 2025, and their releases have been streamed on Spotify over 300,000 times. Behind them are two EPs in collaboration with Inverse Records; their debut full-length album is currently in the works. The band's musical influences include HIM, Sentenced, and Marilyn Manson.

Skenesali is located right next to Myyrmäe station - the entrance is found in the pedestrian passage next to Restaurant Toppar.
