Course on Civic Engagement and Democracy

The course covers what civic engagement is and what tools exist for influencing society. It also examines the structures of society and how change can be created within them - as well as through examples of what civic engagement already looks like in Finland.

The course consists of three three-hour sessions (3 × 3 h). Each session covers theory and concepts through lectures, which include exercises and small-group discussions. Participants also plan their own project as an exercise, applying the skills learned in the course. The course is designed to support participants' own goals and help them find suitable ways to make an impact.
