Summer Cinema: Risto Räppääjä and the Doppelgänger (S) - Annantalo's Autumn Break

During the autumn break, Annantalo screens Finnish films based on children's books in its summer cinema programme.

The summer cinema is part of the Children's Book Festival, held at Annantalo from 7.10.2026 to 27.2.2027. The festival celebrates children's picture books and reading through exhibitions, author visits, workshops and events.

Admission to the films is free without advance registration. Audiences are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, cinema capacity is limited and groups are admitted as space allows - it's best to arrive early.

Risto Räppääjä and the Doppelgänger

Risto encounters a boy in the city who looks exactly like him. He and Nelli set out to investigate whether it's a doppelgänger, a shadow or a con artist. At the same time, it emerges why Aunt Rauha has been hiding a photo album - and how Freezer-Elvi, the spiders and the family's missing ring are connected. Following the clues, the adventure takes them on a night-time expedition to Kurjenkallion.

Risto Räppääjä is played by Aleksi Johansson and Nelli Noodlehead by Alma Järvensivu. Lennart Lindberg is played by Ylermi Rajamaa, Freezer-Elvi by Jenni Kokander and Aunt Rauha by Iina Kuustonen. The film is written by Tiina and Emma Nopola, directed by Samuel Harjanne, with music by Kerkko Koskinen and lyrics by Matias Nopola.
