Kaskin Freshman Orienteering 2026

Kaskin freshman orienteering takes place on 15 September from 17:00 to 21:00 in Oulu city centre. Teams compete at control points, earning points both from completing orienteering tasks and from impressing the control point staff. The group with the most points wins a prize. Control points are marked with the Kaskin logo, and there is considerable walking involved as the points are spread throughout the city centre.

Each freshman group registers via the Kide app by 13 September - one person redeems a free ticket on behalf of the entire group. Further information about the orienteering start will be sent by email.

The official after-party takes place at Ilona from 22:00, where winners are also announced - so it makes sense to stay with your freshman group. For freshmen participating in the orienteering, the after-party is free. For older students, tickets are sold via KideApp for 3 € and at the door for 4 €.
