Urban Environment in Our Neighbourhood - in Malm

The event offers an opportunity to learn about current plans for Malm and discuss them with city experts. Coffee and pastries for the first 100 visitors. The programme is open to all age groups.

15.00-18.00 Interactive activities
Helsinki Nature Conservation Association volunteers will talk about pollinators and local nature. Seed packets will be made from discarded books and filled with wildflower seeds - the seeds can be sown in your own garden in autumn, ready to germinate in spring.

17.00-17.40 Information sessions on Malm plans
The presentation covers plans for Malminkatu 13-15 and the new fire station in Malm, among other things. There will also be an overview of ongoing and upcoming improvements to parks, squares and paths, plus updates from Malmfield: how is the area developing before the new neighbourhood is completed?

17.40-19.00 Joint discussion
Plans can be studied in more detail at themed tables. Topics include parks and green areas, the future of transport in the Malm area, urban planning and ideas for temporary use of Malmfield. You can ask questions to the planners and provide feedback.
