MuseoFest: Guided tour of the Alvar Aalto Museum at Kanavuori Collection Center

The Alvar Aalto Museum's collection and storage spaces are located in the Kanavuori cave on three floors. The collection areas display furniture and other objects from throughout Aalto's career, and an expert guide presents the collection's items during the tour.

Two identical tours are offered: 1:30 PM - 2:15 PM and 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and accommodates a maximum of 20 people. Participation requires advance registration in the online shop and a MuseoFest festival wristband (28 € / 22 € discounted price with a museum card or student card). Registration links are sent by email after purchasing the wristband, and places are filled in order of registration. The tour is conducted in Finnish.

The tour is not fully accessible - any mobility concerns should be reported during registration.

On the same day at Kanavuori, the University of Jyväskylä's Open Knowledge Center (library and science museum) also offers collection tours at 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM and 1:45 PM - 3:00 PM, which you can attend separately if you wish.
