Council: Pekka Kuusisto & Gabriel Kahane (US)

After nearly a decade of musical friendship, Finnish violinist Pekka Kuusisto and American singer-songwriter Gabriel Kahane have formalized their collaboration under the name Council. The evening's programme features intimate and sonically varied songs alongside chamber music pieces written during creative retreats in Kesälahti in North Karelia and Portland, Oregon.

The new material moves between the personal and the universally human: the programme includes stories of individual and collective grief, nostalgia, youth and play with memory, violence and revenge, as well as the joy and bewilderment of fatherhood in an era of global instability.

The ticket price includes a 3 € service fee. Student tickets require a valid student ID or other proof of study.
