Dance and Nature Workshops - For Young People and Adults — Pikkusali, Vuotalo, Helsinki
Free entry

The workshops offer young people and adults the opportunity to explore different ways of dancing and moving in their own way. We move both in the dance studio and in the forests near Vuosaari - through dance tasks, games and exercises. The central theme is the forest and its ecosystem. No previous dance experience is required.

The workshops are led by dancer and dance pedagogue Jenni Koistinen and dancer and choreographer Virva Talonen. During the autumn, researchers Anna Rainio and Tuija Kasa will also visit. The workshops are part of the University of Helsinki's "Art of Knowing" project, funded by the Kone Foundation, which develops participatory methods through collaboration between researchers and dancers.

Participants can, if they wish, take part in the research. More information about the research: anna.rainio@helsinki.fi. The workshops are conducted in Finnish, and if needed also in Swedish and English.

📍 Vuotalo, Pikkusali and the forests near Vuosaari. Exact meeting places will be announced to registered participants before the course begins.
