Jimi Ahlroos Quartet

Jimi Ahlroos is a saxophonist and composer from Oulu who performs actively with his own ensembles. He is also known as a member of the bands Peela and Unitet. Alongside modern jazz language, his music clearly carries the influence of blues and rock.

Ahlroos made his debut as a bandleader with the Jimi Ahlroos Trio EP, released by Jazzaggression Records in autumn 2024. The album soon received airplay on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide FM program, Radio Helsinki, and Yle's Jazzklubi program.

Jimi Ahlroos Quartet is a Helsinki-based ensemble that plays primarily Ahlroos' original compositions. Saxophone, trumpet, double bass, and drums form an acoustic and intimate whole. The ensemble features Ahlroos alongside Rafa Postel (trumpet), Tuomo Purhonen (double bass), and Mooses Kuloniemi (drums).

First-come, first-served seating. Tickets also available at the door - a 3 € service charge applies at the door. Minors welcome with guardian. Caregivers enter free with the person they assist on the same ticket. The restaurant has an accessible entrance (from the courtyard side) and accessible restrooms.
