Russian Composers

A seven-part lecture series exploring the history of Russian music from the 19th century to the present day. The journey traces the national awakening of Romanticism through the upheavals of modernism and Soviet-era tensions to the music of recent decades.

The series also examines how history and politics have shaped the lives and works of these composers.
