Joensuu Interdisciplinary Cap-Lowering Celebration

The cap-lowering celebration marks the end of the wearing season for student and engineer caps - the caps are worn from 30.4 to 30.9, and now it's time to put them away for winter. The event is interdisciplinary and open to all students, not just those familiar with engineer traditions.

The evening reaches its climax at midnight when the caps are removed from heads as the Engineer's Hymn plays. After the cap-lowering, HOJKS BOYS perform in Kerubin's cellar. The first 200 visitors receive an overall badge.
